This weekend is the annual sweet corn festival, so here are a few pics from our time there. There are booths, lots of food (of course) and activities for kids. The girls went on a pony ride and that was a big hit. There is a little remote controlled school bus that is always at these events. Someone sits with a remote, moves the bus, and talks into a microphone that changes his voice, so the kids think the bus is talking. The girls were quite enamored with this. Our first time through, Clara just wanted to keep walking when the bus knew her name and asked her questions, but then wanted to go back. You can see her interacting in the pics below.

The picture of you and Ellie on the pony ride is adorable! Her hair is getting so long and curly! I love seeing a picture of you here and there on the blog too! I miss you guys!
Neat photos! Looks like a lot of fun. It's carnival time here. The local favorite here is "Fried Oyster Sandwiches" and "Soft Shell Crab"! Ha ha... We have sweet corn too - but it plays second fiddle to the seafood. Talk to you soon!

Yes, the school bus moves. It's like an oversized remote control toy. The eyes blink up and down. They even have it in parades here--someone will be sitting on the back of a vehicle operating the remote control steering it down the street. Very cute.
